Each week, "The Weekend Cutter" travels to the practice pens of the most notable cutting horse trainers in the country. These well-known trainers specialize in the success of their Non Pro, Amateur, and Youth Clients. Just a few of the great trainers you'll learn from as a viewer of the show are:

Zeke Entz - Staff Trainer
Growing up in Kansas, as far back as Zeke can remember, he worked with cattle and rode horses. His love for horses, cattle & competition has lead him to become an avid student of the sport of cutting. He worked his way up and has enjoyed many successes in the arena. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge with others in order to help them succeed with their own cutting goals. Many amateurs and youths alike have become more successful under his guidance.

Casey Crouch - Staff Trainer
Casey Crouch, a veteran in the cutting pen for 30 years , has won over $500,000.00 in NCHA, and ACHA, and his Amateurs, and Non Pros have won close to $100,000.00 in the NCHA in the past year alone! After working for several trainers, Casey went out on his own in 1998 and started training horses for the public. Since then Casey has achieved many awards and championships with his horses and customers. Team Crouch has traveled to and shown in 14 states, 15 NCHA Areas, and more than 25 NCHA affiliates.

Each year they attend AQHA, APHA, THSRA, ACHA and NCHA shows and have made National and/or World Finals at all five associations. Casey has trained for, hauled and coached 16 customers to finish in the NCHA Top 15 World Standings. Out of these 16 customers they account for 3 NCHA World Champions, 1 Rookie of the Year and 3 NCHA Reserve World Champions. In the last 5 years Casey has had numerous customers quailifiy for the NCHA National Championship of these, 27 customers made the finals of the NCHA Eastern National Championships and 16 finished in the Top 10. This year Casey's customer Katherine Goodfried won the $50,000 Amatuer at the NCHA Eastern National Championships.

Ted Sokoi - Staff Trainer
He has been a NCHA National Director for 16 years, serving on many committees, as well as being an officer for the Florida Cutting Horse Association for the past 16 years, of which 8 he served as President. Among his many NCHA accomplishments are 4 Top Ten World finishes, multiple National Championship finalists, dozens of affiliate wins; all of which led to his NCHA lifetime earnings of $332,000.00.

In 2007 he built a new facility in Seville, Florida where he offers cutting lessons, training, sales, and clinics. Although he enjoys riding and showing Ted has always been a coach at heart. With his guidance and support Ted's students have achieved numerous titles and championships, including Summer Spectacular Youth Champions and finalists, Augusta Futurity Champions and finalists, NCHA World Show Champion and finalists, multiple NCHA Eastern National Championships Youth, Amateur, and Non-Pro Champions and finalists.

Rock Hedlund - Staff Trainer
Rock’s cutting career began at age 14. Rock competed on a local level as well as nationally, competing in AQHA and NHSRA as well as some NCHA cuttings. In 1981 Rock won his first national championship at the AQHYA World Finals in Youth cutting aboard his mare Diamond Lena Bars. Attending college for one year after high school, then hanging out his “shingle” in 1983. In the past 27 years he has ridden 2 horses to NCHA $3,000 Novice World Championships and ridden 2 horses for NCHA $3,000 Reserve World Championships.

Rock has had 5 NCHA World Champion Non pro/amateurs and multiple top 15 award winners in all of the NCHA Non Pro/Amateur classes throughout the years. Rock attends a majority of his cuttings that are NCHA approved on the west coast that are also approved by the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association, which is NCHA’s largest affiliate. Since 1996, on the PCCHA level Rock and his customers have garnered over 30 Championships and over 20 Reserve Championships , plus a multitude of top 10 awards.

Mike Wood - Staff Trainer
Mike Wood is a cutting horse trainer located in Scottsdale Arizona. His program includes training and showing aged event cutting horses along with Non Pro & Youth clients. Mike also offers cutting horses for sale, ranging from weanlings to the finished cutting horse.
